NYX lands deal to offer Canadians online casino games

NYX Interactive have just received the approval of the Canadian Gaming Regulators and Authorities to offer casino games to various gambling sites in the North American country. Under the terms of the new deal Canadian online casino, sportsbook, lottery, and bingo operators will be able to offer games from the famous worldwide casino software developer, provided they have an agreement with them.

There are, however, certain parameters when it comes to the new deal. One part is that they will only be able to offer games in specific regions.

British Columbia

Under agreement with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, enforced by the British Columbia Gaming Policy & Enforcement Branch (GPEB), NTX Interactive has been registered as a gaming service provider, which will allow them to issue games to casinos that fall under the jurisdiction of those entities.

Quebec

NYX Interactive will also be able to offer games to Loto Québec. In that region, they have been deemed an approved gaming supplier, and their games should be made available to play at specific gambling domains which are run by the Loto Québec.

Nova Scotia

NYX Interactive will also have a part to play in Nova Scotia. The new deal outlines that NYX will be a lottery equipment supplier to the provincial government. That particular agreement has been struck with the Nova Scotia Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division, under the Nova Scotia Gaming Control Act and the Atlantic Lottery Regulations.

What has been said?

NYX Interactive have been delighted with the progress of the move, and they see it as a real step forward to being able to get involved in the Canadian gambling market. North American gambling markets are usually heavily restricted, so to be able to move with such speed in three separate territories of Canada allows them to offer world-class content and technology to those provinces, and the gambling operators who run websites inside them.

It remains to be seen if other developers will follow suit, and decide to get involved in the Canadian gambling market, which has opened a bit of late. Several developers have made moves south of the border, where New Jersey online casinos have been reaching out to casino software giants for their fully legitimate websites. So far, no further software providers are thought to have made moves on the Canadian gambling market at this moment in time.
