Viktor Blom was born on September 26th, 1990, in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is where he first learned to play poker at the age of 14. Blom credits his older brother Sebastian for teaching him to play poker.
They would play heads-up no-limit Hold 'em in their spare time, and eventually, it spilled over to the schoolyard where Viktor would teach his classmates. They played poker every chance they could. Ultimately, the brothers took their skills and checked into an online poker site for playing MTT, where the brothers finished fifth place and won their first $300 as poker players.
After that, Viktor Blom was hooked. He made an account for online poker under the name Blom 90. By the time Victor was 15, he had won over $250,000 playing in various micro tournaments.
After a series of minor successes, Victor decided it was time to move up to the big leagues, as he gathered up all of his money and entered into a high-stakes tournament. Where he soon realized he was out of his League and quickly lost all of his money.
But that did not stop Victor. After a few more wins playing micros, he scratched up another $50,000. Where he quickly lost it again in another high buy-in sit-and-go tournament.
Still not deterred, Victor came up with another $10,000 and decided to use it mainly for heads-up no-limit Hold 'em, where he would finally found his groove. Within two weeks, he moved out from playing $0.50 to $50/100, which is pretty impressive for a 15-year-old self-taught poker player from Sweden.

After some time on the circuit, he decided to deposit $2,000 on the iPoker network, a London-based company Playtech, still using the name Blom 90. This is where an eighteen-year-old Viktor Blom made his name in the world of No-Limit Hold 'em. Fresh-faced 18-year-old turn that $2,000 deposit into $1,500,000 just playing heads-up no-limit tables.
In 2009 Viktor Blom took the online poker world by storm. He had now since changed his name and was playing under Isildur1. Victor showed that he did not fear any name in poker; he stared down some of the biggest names.
Although he may have lost millions, he won millions all at the same time. The young Swede showed no fear at the table and went up against some of the poker's most prominent names today.
No matter how much Victor had lost or won, it never really seemed any different to him. He played as if he had nothing to lose every hand. From about 2012 to 2018, Victor Brom was relatively quiet, with a few successes here and there.
Although it has seemed Viktor Blom is making a comeback, he has been doing quite well since he started showing back up on the radar in 2020. He won the Party Poker Millions event with a payday of €850,000 and close to $1,500,000 on PokerStars.
Blom seems to be dominating online poker rooms in 2020, And it seems maybe Brom has changed his style a bit from playing in the old days. Since making a comeback last year in 2020, it appears that he has only been winning millions.
